One of the best golfing resorts in California is the La Costa Resort and Spa. It is one of the more luxury resorts and it is situated near the Pacific Ocean. It has a full serviced spa and two championship courses. The Spa is great if you want to relax after a hard days golfing. There is even a Roman waterfall within it; you really couldn’t ask for a more scenic spa!
The golf courses themselves are amazing and golfers of all abilities love playing there. If you are looking to improve your game then you will also be interested in the golfing lessons which the resort offers. There is even a chance to play tennis at the resort so there truly is something for everyone to do. However it is one of the more expensive California golf resorts so if you are looking for something a little cheaper you may want to stick to the Squaw Creek Resort.
The Squaw Creek Resort is a really scenic one and you will be able to have views of the sierra peaks. The championship course was designed by Robert Trent Jones and it has an elevation of 6,200’. It is challenging for all level of golfers and there are always packages available to be enjoyed. It may be slightly cheaper but it is still a fantastic course to play on. If money is no object however, then the Ojai Valley inn and Spa may be one of the best California golf resorts to go for.
The Ojai Valley Inn and Spa is a retreat which is used by many a celebrity. It is a Spanish style resort and the golf course there was built in the 1920’s. It has since been used for many advanced PGA Tours events and it is by far one of the best courses to test your abilities on. As well as golf there are other recreational activities to take part in also such as horse riding, complementary fitness classes and the amazingly tranquil Spa.
Overall California golf resorts are certainly resorts which should not be missed by the golf fanatic. They are scenic and challenging and everything a golfer could possibly want from a golfing experience.
